CAGD HOLDS 2024 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department has held its 2024 Annual Conference at the Great Hall, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, under the theme: “Enhancing economic growth through innovation and adaptation”. The Conference is an annual event, held by the Department to enable its staff and stakeholders across the length and breadth of the country, gather to reflect, take stock of the previous year as well as strategize for the ensuing year.
Advancing Financial Transparency: Ghana Embraces International Standards with New Accounting Manuals and Templates
In a significant stride toward financial transparency and international compliance, under its National Accounts Directorate, the Controller and Accountant General’s Department unveiled a series of groundbreaking manuals and templates during the 2024 Annual Conference held in Kumasi, Ashanti Region. This launch marks a pivotal step in fully adopting the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) to refine the scope and precision of National and entity-level financial accounts.
